Calculate CBAM Embedded Emissions
Decision guide to CBAM embedded emissions: direct emissions, electricity-related indirect emissions, precursors, and evidence requirements.
Next step
Open calculation methodologyDirect answer
Embedded emissions combine direct process/combustion emissions and, where required, electricity-related indirect emissions, plus applicable precursor emissions. Missing material inputs must block authoritative results rather than being converted to zero.
What data is required
Activity data with units, emission factors or measured emissions, electricity data where required, precursor quantities and factors, allocation shares that reconcile to installation totals, and evidence links for material values.
Risks / limitations
Client-side previews are advisory. Authoritative sealed results must come from the server engine with calculation traces and integrity hashes.
Regulatory basis / last review
For 2026 imports, the first CBAM declaration and corresponding certificate surrender deadline is 30 September 2027.
CBAMValid prepares operator evidence packages for independent accredited verification. It does not issue an accredited verification opinion, EU approval, customs approval, or registry acceptance.
